She completed her MBBS from Government Medical College, Kolhapur, followed by an MD in General Medicine from Seth G.S. Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai, and a DM in Neurology from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. She also completed a Fellowship in Epilepsy at KIMS Hospitals, Hyderabad, an IAN-AINA Observership at Creighton University, USA, and the Fellowship of the European Board of Neurology.
