Graduating as the valedictorian from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1994, she pursued her specialization at Zeynep Kamil Women’s Health and Pediatrics Training and Research Hospital. Throughout her illustrious career, Prof. Dr. Cogendez has been instrumental in advancing reproductive medicine in Turkey. Her tenure at Zeynep Kamil Hospital saw her rise to the position of Chief Assistant, reflecting her leadership and dedication. In 2016, she earned the title of Associate Professor, and by 2022, she was appointed as a Professor at the Hamidiye Faculty of Medicine, University of Health Sciences. Currently, she contributes to academia as a faculty member at Üsküdar University.

Her research interests encompass reproductive medicine, IVF, laparoscopy, and hysteroscopy. With over 70 publications in both national and international peer-reviewed journals, she has significantly contributed to the scientific community. Her active participation in global conferences and her membership in esteemed organizations like the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) underscore her commitment to staying at the forefront of her field.
