Dr. P. Suryanarayan completed his graduate training and Master of Surgery (Orthopedics) at the University of Bombay in 1986. He pursued fellowship training in Arthroplasty and reconstructive surgery of the joints at prestigious institutions such as The Hospital for Special Surgery in New York and The Wagner Clinic in Germany. Additionally, he was awarded the Indo-German fellowship at the Hip Service, Inselspital, University of Bern, Switzerland.
Dal 1994, la Dr. Suryanarayan has been actively practicing with a special focus on Arthroplasty of the hip and knee. He served as the President of the Indian Society of Hip & Knee Surgeons during 2011-12 and was appointed as an Adjunct Professor (Orthopedics) at the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University in 2012.
His current special interests include revision surgeries of the hip and knee, osteotomies, acetabular trauma, and bone banking. He has also led the design team for the indigenously developed "CT based PSI" in collaboration with industry partners, focusing on navigation-assisted surgeries. Dr. Suryanarayan is actively involved in teaching and training courses at various arthroplasty forums both nationally and internationally.
