Renowned for his proficiency, Dr. Hazarika is adept at plastic reconstruction of resected areas and is skilled in endoscopic and minimally invasive surgeries within the head and neck region. He has also incorporated Robotic Head & Neck Surgery into his practice, reflecting his commitment to adopting advanced surgical techniques.

Beyond surgical interventions, Dr. Hazarika places significant emphasis on the functional rehabilitation of head and neck cancer patients, ensuring comprehensive care that addresses both medical and quality-of-life aspects.

His professional journey includes a fellowship in Head & Neck Surgery from Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bangalore, followed by a residency at Dr. B Borooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati. He further honed his skills at Prince Aly Khan Hospital, Mumbai, under the mentorship of Dr. Sultan A Pradhan. In 2009, Dr. Hazarika joined the Department of Surgical Oncology at Max Super Specialty Hospital, New Delhi, where he served as Consultant and later as Head of the Department of Head & Neck Surgery until August 2016.

Dr. Hazarika has contributed to numerous national and international medical journals and has authored chapters in the "Atlas of Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery." His professional memberships include the Delhi Medical Council and the Foundation for Head & Neck Oncology, India.
