Dr. Akshay Shah is an experienced Senior Consultant in Medical Oncology, Hemato-Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT) at Gleneagles Hospitals, Parel, Mumbai, with 22 years of professional experience in cancer care and hematologic disorders. He completed his MBBS, DNB in Medical Oncology and Hematology, and a fellowship in stem cell transplantation at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and the University of Washington Medical Center. He specializes in stem cell and bone marrow transplantation and the management of complex cancers, including acute myeloid leukemia, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, pediatric cancers, and hepatocellular carcinoma. Dr. Shah has experience performing and assisting with more than 130 stem cell transplants. His procedural expertise includes bone marrow aspiration and biopsy, lumbar punctures, intrathecal injections, pleurodesis, and intraperitoneal injections. He focuses on comprehensive cancer care and the treatment of complex hematologic diseases.
