Prof. Dr. Irfan Cicin

Prof. Dr. İrfan Çiçin is a highly experienced and academically distinguished medical oncologist with decades of experience in internal medicine and oncology. His training began with medicine at Istanbul University, followed by internal medicine residency at Trakya University, and then specialization in medical oncology.

Over his career, he has advanced from internal medicine specialist through associate professor to full professorship, reflecting a strong commitment to both clinical practice and academic oncology.

His areas of interest and specialization include systemic cancer therapies (chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy), molecular oncology, and participation in clinical research  particularly in the development and evaluation of biologic and biosimilar oncology drugs.

Dr. Çiçin has served in leadership roles for example, as a member of the evaluation board (Clinical Research Evaluation Committee) under TÜSEB (Turkish Health Institutes) for assessing clinical research proposals.
