Dr. Zuleyha Akkan Cetinkaya

Dr. Zuleyha Akkan Cetinkaya is a distinguished gastroenterologist and hepatologist with over 27 years of experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver disorders. She currently serves at the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Memorial Atasehir Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey.

Her academic journey began with a medical degree from Istanbul University, followed by specialization in internal medicine and gastroenterology. She achieved the title of Associate Professor in 2013 and was promoted to Professor in 2020.

Prof. Dr. Cetinkaya has contributed significantly to medical research, authoring 19 scientific publications focusing on topics such as Helicobacter pylori eradication, chronic hepatitis, and the effects of vitamin supplementation on treatment outcomes.

She is proficient in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, capsule endoscopy, and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP).

In addition to her clinical and academic roles, Dr. Cetinkaya is actively involved in addressing gender disparities in the medical field.
