Dr. Zuleyha Akgun

Dr. Zuleyha Akgun is a highly experienced and internationally trained Radiation Oncologist based at Memorial Sisli Hospital. She completed her medical degree at Trakya University, followed by a residency in Radiation Oncology at Marmara University. Her early career included roles as a Research Assistant and independent Radiation Oncologist in Turkey before joining Memorial in 2014. She was conferred with the title of Associate Professor in 2017.

She has undergone advanced training through prestigious programmes including ESTRO Teaching Courses (on Lung Cancer, Protons & Ions, Image‑Guided RT), fellowships at the University of Wisconsin and University of Turin’s Neuro‑Oncology units, and grants from EORTC, ESTRO, and ESMO.

Dr. Akgun has authored 16 internationally peer-reviewed articles and 4 national publications, with over 18 international and 31 national scientific presentations. She is an active member of the Association of Radiation Oncology, Turkish Oncology Group, ESTRO, and ASTRO.
