Dr. Yener Koc

Dr. Yener Koc is an internationally acclaimed expert in hematology and stem cell transplantation. He earned his MD in 1985 and strengthened his expertise through advanced training in the United States. He has served in key leadership roles at Boston University, Tufts University, Hacettepe, Yeditepe, Antalya Medical Park, and now Medicana International Istanbul. With a record of over 2,100 successful transplants including autologous, allogeneic (related, unrelated, cord blood), and haploidentical procedures he achieves survival rates of 66–90% for critical conditions such leukemia, myeloma, thalassemia, and aplastic anemia.

He has published over 230–301 scientific articles, holds h-index 31 with 4,300+ citations, and frequently contributes to major oncology journals.

Awards include multiple Outstanding Physician honors from Boston University (1995, 1996), recognition by Tufts and the U.S. Government (O-1 visa, 1997), and International Healthcare Professional of the Year (UK, 2008). He also serves as a JACIE accreditation inspector and holds memberships in ASH, ASBMT, EBMT, CIBMTR, ISCT, AMA, and AABB.
