Dr. Vivek Jawali is a highly experienced Chairman of Cardiac Sciences and Chief Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgeon with over 39 years of experience in cardiac and thoracic surgery. He is recognized as a pioneer in minimally invasive cardiac surgery in India and has performed more than 30,000 cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries. He completed his MS, M.Ch, DNB, FIACS, and D.Sc. (Honoris Causa). He specializes in adult cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, beating-heart bypass surgery, awake cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, and complex cardiac procedures. Dr. Jawali is particularly recognized for pioneering India’s first beating-heart bypass surgery, first minimally invasive bypass surgery (MIDCAB), and first awake cardiac surgery, as well as the world’s first awake open-heart surgery. He has also presented more than 200 scientific papers internationally and delivered lectures and live surgical demonstrations across the USA, Europe, and Asia.
