He completed his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from South Gujarat University and pursued further specialization in Medical Gastroenterology. He advanced his training in Germany at the prestigious Universitätsklinikum Hamburg Eppendorf and has also served as a visiting professor at Yale University, USA.
