Dr. Vinod Shah

Dr. Vinod Shah is a highly esteemed cardiologist with a rich professional journey spanning over 30 years. He holds a DM in Cardiology, an MD in Medicine, and is a Fellow of the Indian Society of Electrocardiology (FISE). Dr. Shah has further honed his skills through a Research Fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Alabama, Birmingham, USA, and a Clinical Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Charles Nicole Hospital, University of Rouen, France. His training also includes expertise in Color Doppler and Carotid Doppler imaging from the USA.

Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Shah has individually performed and assisted in over 6,000 angioplasties and currently conducts more than 400 Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) procedures annually. He has led over 100 cases of Aortic, Mitral, and Pulmonary Valvuloplasties in both children and adults. Notably, Dr. Shah has been at the forefront of emergency cardiac interventions, performing primary and rescue angioplasties in over 300 patients and implanting permanent pacemakers in more than 400 individuals. His extensive experience includes conducting over 15,000 cardiac catheterizations and coronary angiographies.

Dr. Shah's commitment to advancing cardiology is evident through his active involvement in pioneering research on the use of stem cells in cardiac care within India. He has authored over 60 publications in both international and national medical journals. His expertise extends to electrophysiologic studies, with several research papers published in this domain. Dr. Shah has also been trained in the use of advanced cardiac devices such as Rotablators, Atherectomy devices, Doppler Wires, Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS), and Angioscopy during his fellowship in France.
