Dr. Tejinder Kataria is a highly respected and internationally recognized Radiation Oncologist currently serving as Chairperson, Radiation Oncology at Medanta Gurugram. She is known for her exceptional contribution to precision cancer treatment and has played a pioneering role in bringing advanced radiation technologies to India. Medanta credits her with introducing India’s first Infinity Linear Accelerator with Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy, also known as VMAT, and North India’s first Integrated Brachytherapy Unit. She also initiated advanced stereotactic radiation treatment at Medanta.
With more than three decades of clinical, academic and leadership experience, Dr. Kataria has been instrumental in building radiation oncology departments at leading cancer institutions. She is credited with founding the Department of Radiation Oncology at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, New Delhi, founding the same specialty at Artemis Health Institute, Gurugram, and establishing the Division of Radiation Oncology at Medanta Gurugram.
