Dr. Tapan Ghose

Dr. Tapan Ghose is a highly accomplished cardiologist with over 30 years of experience in the field of cardiology. He graduated from Silchar Medical College with honors in biochemistry and was awarded the Dr. Anjan Chakravorty Memorial Medal for securing the highest marks in Medicine. He pursued postgraduate training in internal medicine at Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh, earning his MD (Medicine) in 1993.

He further obtained his DNB (Medicine) from the National Board of Examinations in 1993 and completed DNB (Cardiology) in 2001 after training at Batra Hospital Medical Research Centre, New Delhi. In 2004, he was awarded a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology by the National Board. Throughout his career, Dr. Ghose has held esteemed positions, including Principal Consultant at Fortis, Escorts Heart Institute, and Fortis Flt. Lt. Rajan Dhall Hospital, New Delhi, and as Director and Head of Cardiology at Paras Hospital, Gurgaon.

Currently serving as the Director and Head of Cardiology at Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj (FHVK), Dr. Ghose is an expert in coronary interventions, cardiac electrophysiology, and device implantation. He pioneered the Transradial Angioplasty program at FHVK in 2006 and the transradial primary PCI program in 2011 at both FHVK and Paras Hospital. Actively involved in medical research and post-graduate teaching, he participates in various national and international trial registries.

Dr. Ghose is a fellow of the Cardiology Society of India, the American College of Cardiology, and the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions, USA. He has authored the "Handbook of Lipidology" and has published over 100 papers, including abstracts, reviews, and book chapters.
