Dr. Talha Meeran

Dr. Talha Meeran is a distinguished cardiologist specializing in advanced heart failure and cardiac transplant, with extensive experience in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PH). He is the only USA board-certified cardiologist in India with advanced certification in managing post-cardiac transplant patients and those with artificial heart pumps (LVAD). His expertise encompasses diagnosis and treatment of heart and vascular diseases, including rare forms of cardiomyopathy such as cardiac amyloidosis, sarcoidosis, and arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC).

Dr. Meeran is proficient in performing cardiac procedures like coronary angiograms, right heart catheterizations (with vasoreactivity testing), and cardiac biopsies. The American Society of Echocardiography has conferred upon him the highest level of certification (Level III) for performing and interpreting echocardiograms. He holds licenses to practice Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases in both India and the United States.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Meeran serves as an executive committee member of the Society for Heart Failure and Transplant (SfHFT) in India and co-chairs the heart-lung transplant sub-committee of the Zonal Transplant Coordination Committee (ZTCC) in Mumbai. His contributions to the field have been recognized with the “Profiles in Excellence Award” at the Maryland American College of Physicians in 2014. He has co-authored eight research papers and eleven conference publications.
