Dr. Suneeta Mittal

Dr. Suneeta Mittal is a highly reputed and experienced obstetrician & gynecologist with more than four decades in the field. She is widely recognized as one of the leading gynecologists in Delhi and Gurgaon, having made significant contributions to women's reproductive health in India.

She has been actively involved in drafting national guidelines for emergency contraception and medical abortion in India. Her initiatives include the "12 by 12" program aimed at preventing adolescent anemia to promote a healthier pregnancy. She has also played a crucial role in adapting and indigenizing WHO’s Medical Eligibility Criteria Wheel and in the development of Minimum Standards for Mother-Baby Friendly care.

Dr. Mittal has held prestigious positions, including Professor & Head of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Program Director for Postpartum Programs at AIIMS, and Director-in-Charge of WHO-CCR in Human Reproduction. She has contributed significantly to the advancement of reproductive medicine, including the establishment of IVF and advanced endoscopy centers at AIIMS. Her expertise has been sought by government agencies and global health organizations such as WHO and UNFPA.
