Dr. Sudarshan G. Thimmaiah is an accomplished Director of Cardio Thoracic Vascular Surgery with over 18 years of experience in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery. He completed his MBBS from Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore, followed by MS and DNB in General Surgery and M.Ch & DNB in Cardio Thoracic and Vascular Surgery. He secured the first position in his M.Ch training in Mumbai and was awarded the C. S. Sadasivan Gold Medal in Cardiothoracic Surgery in the All India National Board examinations. He further completed FRCS – Cardiothoracic Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a Fellowship in Advanced Adult Cardiac Surgery from Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital, UK. His expertise includes minimally invasive cardiac surgery, aortic surgery, off-pump coronary surgery, VATS lung surgery, valve repair surgery, atrial fibrillation surgery, and heart failure surgery including transplantation. He is also involved in academic research in cardiothoracic surgery, with publications in national and international journals.
