Overview:

Dr. Srinivas Chilukuri is a highly accomplished Radiation Oncologist at Apollo Proton Cancer Centre, Chennai. He is recognised as a key opinion leader in high-precision radiation therapy, especially particle beam and proton therapy. He is credited with initiating South Asia and India’s first clinical programme for particle beam therapy for paediatric cancers, prostate cancers, thoracic cancers and sarcomas.

He completed MD Radiation Oncology from Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai in 2004 with a university top rank. His work includes major contributions in establishing RapidArc, IGRT, SRS and SBRT programmes, and he has trained numerous oncologists and medical physicists through advanced radiotherapy education initiatives. He has more than 30 international publications, has been an invited faculty at national and international meetings, and received the ASCO IDEA Award in 2013.

Dr. Chilukuri has special clinical interest in paediatric cancers, prostate cancers, thoracic cancers, bone and soft tissue tumours, lymphomas and genitourinary cancers. He has also co-founded Optimus Oncology, focused on making modern cancer care more accessible in rural India.
