Dr. Sonia Nankani

Dr. Sonia Nankani is an experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist and Corneal Transplant Surgeon with 14 years of experience diagnosing and treating complex eye conditions. She completed her MBBS and MS in Ophthalmology and received specialized training in retinal care at L.V. Prasad Eye Institute. She specializes in corneal transplantation, cataract surgery, LASIK, limbal stem cell transplantation, and the management of retinal conditions, including diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration. Dr. Nankani is recognized for her expertise in advanced corneal procedures, including tooth-in-eye surgery (modified osteo-odonto keratoprosthesis) and limbal stem cell transplantation using autologous cultivated stem cells. She also has a special interest in binocular vision, dichoptic therapy for amblyopia, and visual rehabilitation for children with special needs and learning disabilities.
