Dr. Sonia Malik

Dr. Sonia Malik is a pioneering figure in the field of infertility treatment in India. As a veteran obstetrician and gynaecologist specializing in Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) and IVF, she has dedicated her career to helping individuals and couples realize their dreams of parenthood. Her areas of expertise include advanced ART techniques such as IVF, ICSI, and IMSI, as well as reproductive endocrinology and immunology, genital tuberculosis, and premature ovarian failure.

Dr. Malik earned her MBBS, DGO, and MD degrees from Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak. With a professional journey spanning over four decades, she has performed more than 7,000 ART cycles. Her international experience includes medical practice in Iraq and Saudi Arabia, and she is proficient in English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Arabic.

Throughout her illustrious career, Dr. Malik has held esteemed positions such as President of the Indian Fertility Society, Chair of the Infertility Committee at FOGSI, and President of the Indian Menopause Society. She has also served as Associate Editor for the South-East Asia region of the Journal of Global Health, IFFS. Her editorial contributions extend to boards of journals like Fertility & Sterility India, Journal of Reproductive Health and Medicine, and Journal of Fertility Science & Research. Additionally, she was the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Midlife Health and a member of the ICMR Task Force on Genital Tuberculosis.

As a Scientific Collaborator at the Reproductive Research Centre, Cleveland Clinic, USA, Dr. Malik has conducted numerous training courses and workshops both in India and internationally. These sessions have focused on IVF techniques, advanced hysteroscopic surgery, and micromanipulation in ART, among others. Her profound knowledge and significant contributions to obstetrics, gynecology, infertility, and IVF are widely recognized and respected.

Dr. Malik has delivered numerous orations and presentations at international and national conferences and has contributed extensively to publications and textbook chapters. Her academic achievements include publishing 123 peer-reviewed articles and authoring 47 book chapters. She has also been involved in conducting national and international drug trials and has played a pivotal role in formulating Indian guidelines for the management of PCOS and genital tuberculosis.
