Dr. Shiv Kumar Choudhary

Dr. Shiv Choudhary, a distinguished cardiothoracic surgeon, formerly served as the Head of Department and Professor at AIIMS, New Delhi—one of India’s most prestigious medical institutions. He now holds the position of Executive Director at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, where he continues to lead advancements in adult cardiothoracic and vascular surgery. With over 32 years of experience, Dr. Choudhary is widely recognized for his clinical expertise and surgical precision in handling some of the most complex cardiac cases.

Over the course of his career, he has performed more than 500 major cardiac surgeries every year, ranging from neonatal arterial switch operations to high-risk aneurysm repairs, demonstrating both his vast experience and trusted surgical acumen.
