Dr. Sathish Kumar Thirumurthy Kaliappa

Dr. Sathish Kumar Thirumurthy Kaliappa is an experienced General Surgeon and Laparoscopic Surgeon currently associated with Medcare Royal Speciality Hospital, Dubai and Medcare Hospital, Sharjah. He completed his MBBS from Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Chennai, followed by MS in General Surgery from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore. With 26 years of clinical experience, he has built strong expertise in both open and minimally invasive surgical procedures, especially in gastrointestinal, hernia, thyroid, breast, and anorectal surgery.

In the earlier phase of his career, he served at PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research and PSG Hospitals, Coimbatore, where he worked as Assistant Professor and Consultant Surgeon, and later advanced to the roles of Associate Professor and Professor. He subsequently joined Karpagam Faculty of Medical Sciences and Research as Professor and Consultant Surgeon before moving to the UAE. In the UAE, he worked as a Specialist in General Surgery at Zulekha Hospital, Sharjah and Dubai, and later at NMC Royal Hospital, Sharjah.
