Dr. Sathish Kumar K

Dr. Sathish Kumar K is an esteemed liver transplant and HPB (Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary) surgeon at Gleneagles HealthCity Chennai. He pursued his post-graduate and super-specialty training in GI and HPB surgery from world-renowned institutions. With over a decade of hands-on experience, he has successfully managed patients with complex gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary diseases, including liver transplants.

He has performed more than 450 liver transplants (including both living donor and deceased donor cases), 500+ complex HPB surgeries, 150+ pediatric transplantations, and numerous ABO-incompatible transplants. His surgical approach includes advanced techniques such as minimally invasive donor hepatectomy and management of high-risk gastrointestinal surgeries.

Dr. Sathish is actively involved in research, contributing over 25 publications in reputed national and international journals. He has also participated in several oral and poster presentations at global conferences hosted by leading organizations like IASG, IHPBA, LTSI, ALBS, ILTS, and ILDLT. His research interests span donor remnant liver regeneration, pediatric transplant dysfunction, and clinical trials in ABO-incompatible transplants.
