Dr. Sapna Nangia

Dr. Sapna Nangia is a highly experienced clinical and radiation oncologist with deep expertise in cancer management, precision radiotherapy, proton beam therapy, research, academics, public education, and cancer awareness. She currently serves as Director – Head Neck & Breast, Department of Radiation Oncology at Apollo Proton Cancer Centre, Chennai. Her major focus areas include head & neck cancers, breast cancer, precision radiation therapy, and proton beam therapy.

She completed her MBBS from University of Poona in 1986 and MD in Radiotherapy from Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow in 1994. She has trained and observed at reputed international cancer centres including Montefiore Einstein Center for Cancer Care, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Moores Cancer Center, and other leading proton therapy institutions in the USA. She was also among the early adopters of IMRT in India around 2002–2003.
