Dr. Sanjeev Kumar is an experienced Director & Unit Head – GI & HPB Surgical Oncology and Clinical Administrator – Surgical Oncology with expertise in surgical oncology, gastrointestinal and hepatopancreatobiliary oncology, advanced laparoscopic and robotic cancer surgery, and peritoneal surface malignancies. He completed his MBBS from Madurai Medical College, MS in General Surgery from Calcutta Medical College (Gold Medalist), and M.Ch in Surgical Oncology from Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai. He also completed specialized training in robotic cancer surgery, peritoneal surface oncology/HIPEC, and PIPAC. His areas of expertise include peritoneal surface malignancy, rectal cancer, pancreatic cancer, upper GI cancers, esophageal cancer, stomach cancer, gallbladder cancer, liver cancer, biliary tract cancer, colon cancer, retroperitoneal tumors, sarcoma, uterine cancer, and ovarian cancer. He specializes in advanced procedures including cytoreductive surgery (CRS), HIPEC, PIPAC, sphincter-preserving rectal surgery, Whipple surgery, RAMPS, pelvic exenteration, complex extended resections, multivisceral resections, and vascular resections.
