Dr. Sandhya Vasan

Dr. Sandhya Vasan serves as the Head of Department and Senior Consultant in Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and IVF at SIMS Hospital, Chennai. After completing her postgraduate studies, she moved to Chennai, where she worked in several corporate hospitals and at Sri Balaji Medical College and Hospitals prior to her tenure at SIMS Hospital. Dr. Sandhya's expertise encompasses Cosmetic Gynecology, Robotic Surgery, Gynecologic Oncology, and High-risk Obstetrics.

She is an active member of several esteemed medical associations, including the Indian Medical Association (IMA), the Obstetrics & Gynecology Society of Southern India (OGSSI), the Federation of Obstetrics & Gynecology India (FOGSI), the Fellowship of International College of Surgeons (FICS), and the Women’s Doctor Association (WDA). In recognition of her dedication and service to the medical community and society, she received an award from IMA Apollo Teynampet on July 7, 2011.
