Dr. Samir Desai

Dr. Samir Desai is a highly skilled and experienced paediatric orthopedic surgeon with over 25 years of medical practice and 17 years as a specialist. He completed his MBBS from B J Medical College, Pune, where he was awarded a gold medal in Anatomy and Surgery and ranked first in Poona University in his first-year MBBS. His journey into orthopedics was inspired by his uncle, Dr. Ashok Desai, a renowned orthopedic surgeon in Pune.

Dr. Desai pursued his post-graduation in orthopedics at J. J. Hospital and Grant Medical College, Mumbai, where he developed a strong foundation in the field. His interest in paediatric orthopedics was further cultivated under the mentorship of Dr. A.N. Johari, a well-respected paediatric orthopedic surgeon. His thesis focused on the etiology and management of recurrent clubfoot, a condition he has since specialized in treating.

To enhance his expertise, Dr. Desai completed international fellowships in paediatric orthopedics in Seoul, Korea, and in cerebral palsy and gait laboratory studies under Prof. Kerr Graham at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne, Australia. His areas of expertise include treating clubfoot, cerebral palsy, hip dislocations, children's fractures, and botox injections for paediatric conditions. His dedication to improving pediatric orthopedic care has earned him widespread recognition in the medical community.
