Dr. Sajan Hegde is one of India’s foremost spine specialists, recognized globally for his contributions to spinal surgery. He was the first Indian to receive the prestigious French Cottrell Fellowship in Spine Surgery. Over the years, Dr. Hegde has introduced several groundbreaking spinal procedures in India, including the first charity cervical disc replacement, the use of shape memory alloys in spine surgery, and the first major Renaissance Spine Surgery Guidance System.

He currently leads the advanced spine care services at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, where his unit stands as one of the largest and busiest scoliosis correction centers in India.
