His profound contributions to the field include over 2000 dialysis catheter insertions and more than 500 kidney biopsies.

Dr. Patil has a keen interest in renal transplantation, including kidney, liver, and pancreas-kidney transplants, and has actively participated in numerous transplant programs. His dedication to research has led to publications in nephrology, particularly in areas such as acute kidney injury and glomerular disease histology.

As a respected member of the nephrology community, Dr. Patil holds memberships with esteemed organizations such as the Indian Society of Nephrology and the International Society of Nephrology. His achievements have been recognized with multiple awards, including Best Poster and Oral Presentation at Transplant Update 2012. He was also selected twice for the Maharashtra Talent Search in 1996.

His pioneering work includes performing the first Kidney-Pancreas Transplantation at Sahyadri Hospital, which was the second such procedure in Maharashtra. With his extensive clinical expertise and dedication to patient care, Dr. Patil continues to be a leader in nephrology and renal transplantation.
