Dr. Rushi Deshpande

Dr. Rushi Deshpande is an esteemed nephrologist with over 16 years of experience in nephrology and kidney transplantation. He currently serves as the Academics Director of the Nephrology Department at Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre in Mumbai.

Dr. Deshpande holds an MD and DM in Nephrology, along with a DNB (Nephrology) which he completed in 2002. Further advancing his expertise, he trained as a Fellow in Nephrology at the University of Toronto, Canada, for two years, followed by a one-year specialization in Kidney Transplantation in an American Society of Transplantation-accredited program in Toronto.

He has been practicing as a consultant nephrologist and kidney transplant specialist in Mumbai since 2006. His contributions to the field are well-recognized through multiple research papers presented at national and international conferences, along with publications in peer-reviewed medical journals.

Dr. Deshpande has been honored with several prestigious awards, including a Gold Medal in Pharmacology from Dr. BAM University, Aurangabad, and a Gold Medal in DNB Nephrology, which he received from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the then-President of India. His academic excellence is evident from his consistent top rankings throughout his medical education.
