Dr. Rohit Mehtani

Dr. Rohit Mehtani is one of India’s few DM-trained hepatologists, with advanced training in transplant hepatology from one of the busiest liver transplant centres in the country. He completed his DM in Hepatology at PGIMER Chandigarh, where he was batch topper in the DM exit exams, and subsequently undertook a specialized Fellowship in Transplant Hepatology at Max Super Speciality Hospital, New Delhi.

Dr. Mehtani’s clinical focus lies in the comprehensive management of liver diseases, including acute liver failure, acute‑on‑chronic liver failure, autoimmune liver diseases, viral hepatitis, non‑alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), liver cancers (HCC), portal hypertension, Budd‑Chiari syndrome and liver diseases in pregnancy. His expertise also extends to managing critically ill patients in liver intensive care settings and contributing to international clinical guidelines for liver care.
