Dr. Reetu Jain is an esteemed medical oncologist and bone marrow transplant specialist with over 15 years of experience in treating hematological malignancies and solid tumors. Since taking on the responsibility as a core team member of the transplant unit, Dr. Jain has been instrumental in performing over 300 successful bone marrow transplants, including both autologous and allogeneic transplants. Her expertise extends to managing various hematological disorders such as thalassemia, aplastic anemia, sickle cell anemia, Fanconi anemia, leukemias, lymphomas, multiple myeloma, neuroblastoma, germ cell tumors, and sarcomas.

Dr. Jain has also spearheaded international stem cell mobilization protocols, leading to over 330 successful stem cell harvests at Jaslok Hospital. Under her guidance, the transplant unit has achieved survival rates that align with the best national and international medical centers.

Her responsibilities as a transplant physician include case selection, patient counseling, pre-transplant evaluation, mobilization, apheresis, high-dose chemotherapy (HDCT), and complete post-transplant care. Dr. Jain is also a passionate advocate for cancer awareness and education, actively working towards spreading knowledge about hematological malignancies and their treatments.

Dr. Jain has contributed significantly to medical research and education. Her postgraduate dissertation, “Spectrum of Upper Gastrointestinal Bleeding”, was successfully defended as part of her MD (Internal Medicine) degree at Mumbai University.
