Dr. Ram Chander Jiloha

Dr. Ram Chander Jiloha is one of India’s most experienced psychiatrists, known for his scholarship in mental health, clinical excellence, and contributions to psychiatric education. He graduated MBBS from Medical College, Rohtak in 1974 and completed his MD in Psychiatry from PGIMER, Chandigarh in 1981.

Dr. Jiloha joined the Central Health Service in 1983 and served for more than three decades at reputed institutions such as GB Pant Hospital and Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, retiring in 2015 as Director Professor & Head of Psychiatry. Upon retirement, he continued to advance mental health care by establishing the psychiatry department at Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences and initiating community mental health programmes. In 2021, he joined Paras Hospitals, Gurugram, bringing his decades of experience to help patients with complex psychiatric conditions.
