Dr. Rakesh Jalali

Dr. Rakesh Jalali is an internationally recognized Radiation Oncologist and Neuro-Oncology expert at Apollo Proton Cancer Centre, Chennai. He is especially known for advanced, high-precision radiotherapy techniques and proton beam therapy, with a strong focus on improving treatment outcomes and quality of life for cancer patients. His core expertise includes neuro-oncology, brain tumours, spine tumours, proton therapy, and complex radiation planning.

He has played a major role in developing Neuro-Oncology services in India, including the Neuro-Oncology group at Tata Memorial Hospital, which Apollo describes as one of the finest such units in India and recognized globally. He was also instrumental in establishing the Indian Society of Neuro-Oncology in 2008 and has served in key leadership roles within the society.
