Dr. Rajeev Sood

Dr. Rajeev Sood is a renowned Urologist and Renal Transplant Surgeon with a distinguished career spanning over 30 years. An alumnus of AFMC Pune and AIIMS New Delhi, Dr. Sood is a triple Gold Medalist, making him one of the most academically accomplished surgeons in his field. He served the Armed Forces for over 23 years, significantly advancing urological surgery and transplantation services.

Dr. Sood holds the unique distinction of performing the first Cadaver Renal Transplant and the first Laparoscopic Live Donor Nephrectomy within the Armed Forces. His contribution to launching the HOLEP procedure in 1999 and introducing the High Energy Green Light Laser Prostatectomy program in 2003 marked major milestones in Indian urology. His accolades include the prestigious Vishisht Seva Medal, awarded for his outstanding service and excellence.
