Dr. Rahul Koti

Dr. Rahul Koti is a distinguished Consultant in Hepato-Pancreatic-Biliary (HPB) Surgery at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai. With over three decades of international experience, he has been at the forefront of HPB surgery and liver transplantation.

He completed his MBBS from the University of Bombay, earning a distinction in Biochemistry. His academic excellence continued with an MS in General Surgery, where he secured the first position at the University of Bombay and was honored with the AV Baliga Prize in Surgery in 1992.

Dr. Koti's commitment to advancing his expertise led him to prestigious fellowships, including a Visiting Fellowship in Transplantation Service at the Thomas E. Starzl Transplantation Institute, University of Pittsburgh Medical Centre, USA, and a Visiting Fellowship in Hepatobiliary Service at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Centre, New York.

His professional journey includes significant roles at renowned institutions such as King's College Hospital, London; Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, UK; and KEM Hospital, Mumbai. Currently, he also serves as a Consultant in HPB Surgery & Liver Transplantation at the Royal Free Hospital, London, and holds the position of Honorary Senior Lecturer in Surgery at University College London. Since 2012, he has been an examiner for MBBS, MD, and Ph.D. theses.

Dr. Koti's contributions to medical literature are noteworthy, with over 40 research publications and more than 1,600 citations, reflecting his dedication to advancing surgical practices and patient care.
