Dr. Prashanth Rao is a highly experienced and internationally trained Gastrointestinal (GI) and Bariatric Surgeon with over 34 years of clinical expertise in advanced minimal access (laparoscopic) and open surgical techniques. He specializes in comprehensive GI, colorectal, bariatric/weight-loss, hepatobiliary (HPB), and thoracic procedures, with a particular focus on single-port and advanced laparoscopic surgery. Renowned for his surgical skill and contributions to surgical education and research, Dr. Rao has trained and lectured both in India and overseas, and has played a significant role in advancing minimally invasive surgery in the country.
