Dr. Parag Bhalgat

Dr. Parag Bhalgat is a highly esteemed Consultant Pediatric and Interventional Cardiologist with over 20 years of dedicated experience. He completed his M.B.B.S. and M.D. in Medicine from Grant Medical College and Sir JJ Hospital, Mumbai, followed by a D.M. in Cardiology from Seth G.S. Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai. Further enhancing his expertise, Dr. Bhalgat pursued a Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at the Schneider Children’s Medical Centre of Israel, focusing on fetal echocardiography and interventions in congenital heart diseases. 

Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Bhalgat has been associated with several prestigious institutions. He served as an Assistant Professor in Cardiology at Seth G.S. Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai, and has been a consultant at Wockhardt Hospital, Mumbai Central. For the past seven years, he has been leading Sujyot Heart Clinic, a center dedicated to pediatric, fetal, and adult congenital heart care. 

His clinical interests encompass congenital and structural heart diseases across all age groups, including fetuses, children, and adults. Dr. Bhalgat specializes in non-surgical corrections of heart defects and has formulated a novel echocardiographic technique to assess the mitral valve, aiming to reduce complications following balloon mitral valvuloplasty.
