Dr. Nutan Agarwal

Dr. Nutan Agarwal is a distinguished Obstetrician and Gynecologist with over 35 years of experience. She previously served as a professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, where she was also a senior faculty member in the Fetal Medicine Division. Dr. Agarwal is recognized for her clinical acumen, surgical expertise, and dedication to teaching. She has successfully managed and operated on complex cases referred from across the country, utilizing both laparoscopic and traditional surgical methods.

One of her notable contributions includes pioneering "Intraamniotic surfactant therapy" for preterm labor, a novel treatment that has significantly improved survival rates of preterm infants and earned her a national award. She has also introduced therapies such as the use of Metformin and Myoinositol in managing Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) in India. Dr. Agarwal has been instrumental in establishing medical treatments for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding and has developed guidelines tailored to the Indian context.

Throughout her illustrious career, Dr. Agarwal has organized numerous national and international conferences, training courses in laparoscopic surgeries, and live workshops in fetal medicine. She has delivered countless scientific lectures and has over 300 national and international publications to her credit. Her editorial roles include serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the Indian Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and contributing as a key reviewer for various esteemed journals.
