Dr. Nishith Chandra

Dr. Nishith Chandra is a highly experienced and renowned interventional cardiologist with over 30 years of expertise. He is currently the Director of Interventional Cardiology at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, where he has been practicing for the last 30 years. Dr. Chandra specializes in complex coronary imaging, particularly Coronary OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography).

Throughout his career, Dr. Chandra has played a pivotal role in establishing advanced cardiac care facilities. He was instrumental in setting up the prestigious Air Ambulance Unit at Escorts Heart Institute, which has successfully transported over 300 critically ill cardiac patients across India and neighboring countries.

Additionally, he has led the Emergency and Heart Command Centre of Escorts Heart Institute for more than two decades. With a deep interest in medical informatics and electronic medical records, Dr. Chandra has contributed significantly to digitizing Cath Lab processes. His extensive research contributions include multiple peer-reviewed publications in national and international journals, along with authoring book chapters.
