Dr. Nihar Mehta

Dr. Nihar Mehta is a Consultant Cardiologist at Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital, with clinical affiliations at Breach Candy Hospital and K.J. Somaiya Super-specialty Hospital. He also serves as Associate Director of the Structural Heart Valve Department at Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre.

Actively involved in international randomized clinical trials (India, USA, South Korea), Dr. Mehta is equally dedicated to medical education. He conducts monthly cardiology clinics for trainees and leads the TAVI SKILL LAB—an exclusive quarterly workshop that trains cardiologists in TAVI using cadaveric heart models, the only program of its kind globally.

He has an extensive academic portfolio with multiple publications. Dr. Mehta has served as Assistant Editor for the API Textbook of Medicine (11th & 12th editions) and contributed chapters to leading medical books including P.J. Mehta Practical Medicine, Understanding ECG, Medical Emergencies, Clinical Endocrinology, and Common Medical Symptoms. His work as a clinician, educator, and researcher continues to shape cardiology practice in India.
