Dr. Neeraj Awasthy

Dr. Neeraj Awasthy is a distinguished pediatric cardiologist renowned for his expertise in managing complex congenital and acquired heart diseases in children with over 20 years of experience, his academic journey includes an MBBS degree from the University of Delhi (1999), an MD in Pediatrics from the same institution (2004), and a Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology from the National Board of Examinations (2009).

Dr. Awasthy has made significant contributions to the field through research, having published nearly 120 articles in various national and international journals. He has also authored chapters in six medical textbooks and co-authored a book on congenital heart diseases. His work extends beyond clinical practice, as he actively participates in editorial boards of prestigious medical journals, including the Annals of Pediatric Cardiology, Indian Heart Journal, and Cardiology in the Young.

Throughout his career, Dr. Awasthy has been instrumental in pioneering advanced cardiac procedures for pediatric patients. Notably, he led a team that successfully performed a high-risk arterial switch operation on a one-day-old newborn, a rare open-heart surgery correcting transposed aorta and pulmonary arteries.  Additionally, he has utilized innovative techniques such as the Piccolo device closure to treat patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) in low-weight newborns, exemplifying his commitment to adopting cutting-edge technologies for improved patient outcomes.
