Dr. Nayan Sanghvi

Dr. Nayan Sanghvi is a renowned urologist with over three decades of expertise in the field. He completed his M.S. from Bombay and further specialized with an M.N.A.M.S. in Urology. Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Sanghvi has been instrumental in advancing urological practices in India. He has performed over 1,500 renal transplant surgeries, including more than 1,000 at Sir H. N. Hospital & Medical Research Centre and over 500 at Lilavati Hospital, encompassing approximately 40 cadaver kidney transplants. 

His surgical repertoire encompasses a wide range of urological procedures such as Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL), Ureteroscopy (URS), Retrograde Intrarenal Surgery (RIRS), urethroplasty, hypospadias repair, radical and partial nephrectomies, cystectomy with ileal conduit, and radical prostatectomies. Dr. Sanghvi's commitment to continuous learning led him to train under Dr. Arthur Smith in Endourology in 1988 at Long Island Jewish Medical Centre, where he also gained experience in laser applications. He further enhanced his skills with a certification course in robotic surgery at the Herman Memorial Centre, Houston, in January 2016. 

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Sanghvi has contributed significantly to academic medicine. He has served as a teacher for DNB Urology since 1996 at HN and later at Lilavati Hospital. He also held the position of President of the Mumbai Urology Society from 2006 to 2007.
