He completed his MBBS from Stanley Medical College, MS in General Surgery from Government Thanjavur Medical College, MRCS and FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, a Diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery from the University of Strasbourg, France, and CCT in General & GI Surgery from the East of England Deanery, Cambridge.
