With more than 28 years of expertise, Prof. Mohamed Rela is a pioneer in the field of liver transplantation. In Global Gleneagles Health City, he founded the Institute of Liver Disease and Transplantation in 2009. It has grown rapidly to become India's biggest liver transplant program. More than 1500 liver transplant procedures have been carried out under this program since its start. In addition, he teaches liver transplant surgery at London's Kings College Hospital.
