Dr. Milind Hote

Dr. Milind Hote is a highly esteemed cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon with over 25 years of experience in the field. Before joining Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi, as the Director of Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery, he served as a Professor at AIIMS, New Delhi. His expertise spans heart failure management, pulmonary artery hypertension, coronary artery disease, and minimally invasive cardiac surgery (MICS).

Dr. Hote underwent advanced robotic cardiac surgery training at the Heart Surgery Centre in Innsbruck, Austria. He has played a pivotal role in pioneering lung transplants in India, successfully performing one of the country's first lung transplants in a public sector hospital. His contributions to heart donor harvesting, heart transplant programs, and complex cardiac procedures have significantly advanced the field of cardiac surgery in India.

With the largest series of Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) closures in India, Dr. Hote has also been an integral member of the National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (NOTTO), formulating national guidelines for organ donation, organ allocation, patient listing, and Donation after Circulatory Death (DCD). His contributions have made a lasting impact on the healthcare sector, particularly in organ transplantation and minimally invasive cardiac surgery.
