Dr. Manoj Durairaj

Dr. Manoj Durairaj is a highly skilled and accomplished heart transplant surgeon based in Pune. He serves as the Chief Heart Transplant Surgeon and Head of the Department of Heart and Lung Transplantation at Sahyadri Hospitals. With 29 years of overall experience, including 20 years as a specialist, Dr. Durairaj has established himself as a leader in the field of cardiac surgery.

A gold medalist in General Surgery (AFMC) and an M.Ch. graduate from AIIMS, New Delhi, Dr. Durairaj has further honed his expertise with a Fellowship in Bypass Surgery from the University of Melbourne. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC).

Dr. Durairaj is renowned for performing Pune’s first heart transplant and has since led numerous successful transplants. His expertise extends beyond transplants to pediatric and adult cardiac surgeries, minimally invasive procedures, off-pump coronary surgeries, and left ventricular assist device procedures.
