Dr. Manish A. Chhabria

Dr. Manish Chhabria is a highly esteemed neurologist with extensive experience in diagnosing and managing a wide array of neurological disorders. He completed his MBBS from Mumbai, followed by DNB in General Medicine and DNB in Neurology from the prestigious P. D. Hinduja National Hospital & Medical Research Centre, Mumbai. His early career involved significant roles such as Clinical Assistant and Registrar at the same institution, spanning nearly seven years.

Dr. Chhabria has also contributed to pediatric intensive care, having worked in the PICU at B. J. Wadia Hospital for Children, Mumbai. He further honed his expertise as a Clinical Associate at the Centre of Excellence for Brain & Nervous Systems at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital & Medical Research Institute, Mumbai.

Throughout his career, Dr. Chhabria has been deeply involved in clinical research and academic medicine, contributing numerous scientific papers and book chapters published in respected national and international journals, textbooks, and medical publications. He served as a Co-investigator in the DECIDE multinational randomized controlled trial (2010–2013), which compared Daclizumab with Interferon in patients with Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS).

Dr. Chhabria is certified in administering the Kurtzke Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) for the clinical assessment and monitoring of multiple sclerosis. His research interests also extend to anemia in chronic kidney disease and the patterns of atherosclerosis in ischemic stroke among the Indian population. Committed to medical education and emergency care, he is an instructor for Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS), accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA). He has also contributed to medical education through authorship, including the book “Practical Methods in Clinical Medicine” (2010). His areas of special interest include stroke, movement disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, multiple sclerosis, therapeutic botulinum toxin injections for neurological conditions, and clinical neurophysiology.
