Dr. Madhuri Behari

Dr. Madhuri Behari is a highly experienced Consultant Neurologist at Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj. She completed her MBBS and MD (Medicine) from Lady Hardinge Medical College, Delhi University, and further pursued DM (Neurology) from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. With over 37 years of expertise in neurology, she has made significant contributions to movement disorder treatments, including botulinum toxin therapy and deep brain stimulation for Parkinson’s disease and dystonia patients.

Dr. Behari has an extensive portfolio of research publications in both national and international journals. She has held prestigious positions, such as President of the National Indian Academy of Neurology and Delhi Neurological Association. Currently, she serves as the Founding President of the Movement Disorders Society of India.

Recognized for her contributions to medical science, she has been honored with the Woman Bio-scientist Award by the Government of India and an Innovation in Science Award from the Department of Biotechnology, India. She is an active member of the International Society of Movement Disorders and Parkinson’s Disease, serving as Chairperson of the Education Committee.
