Dr. K.S. Iyer

Dr. Krishna Subramony Iyer is a distinguished pediatric cardiac surgeon in India, renowned for his expertise in managing congenital heart diseases in patients ranging from neonates to adults. He established the first dedicated pediatric cardiac care program in Northern India at Escorts Heart Institute Research Centre (now Fortis Escorts Heart Institute) in 1995.

Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Iyer has performed over 20,000 surgeries addressing a wide spectrum of congenital heart defects, including complex procedures such as arterial switch operations, double switch operations, TAPVC repairs, Fontan procedures, and corrections for tetralogy of Fallot, DORV, and truncus arteriosus.
